Bringing people together

- in the spirit of Sarah - to change the face of ovarian cancer.

We chose to effect change

Sarah’s spirit is what inspires us to keep making a difference…
Those who knew her and those who hear her story will understand.

The Sarah Parvin Foundation was created in 2007 to honor the memory of Sarah Alexandra Parvin. At the age of eleven, she was diagnosed with Small Cell Ovarian Cancer with Hypercalcemia. This was not a disease that was supposed to affect children, and yet here was her diagnosis. She fought valiantly against this disease with courage and spirit rarely seen in someone of her age. Although every option was explored, she lost her fight at the age of twelve years and 24 days. This was not the end of her legacy; it was the beginning for her family and community to memorialize Sarah’s spirit and zest for life. The loss of a child, or anyone to cancer, is a devastation that is immeasurable. The loss can make you just want to give up, yet it can also make you want to change the outcome for others. We are inspired by Sarah’s spirit to help make a difference for families struggling from the impact of an ovarian cancer diagnosis.

Please don't cry…
I Am Not Unfortunate,

I Am Lucky

- Sarah A. Parvin
